As a bridge between worlds
Atelier Aluna & Co brings together interior design, art, and awareness. We create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also offer a sense of belonging and meaning. Because coming home—to yourself and your home—is the foundation for true change.

"My work is about recognizing and restoring harmony — between inside and outside, between people and space."
About Atelier Aluna & Co

My name is Mila Damen, and my desire has always been to contribute to real change. I believe that the inner world and the outer space are inextricably linked, and that harmony arises where form and essence meet.
For over twenty years I have been working systemically – with people, organizations and landscapes – always with the intention of realizing a positive impact.
I have worked on developing regenerative and circular systems, including the digital product passport and my own dating site (marketplace) for the reuse of materials – a concept that has now become part of national and European policy.
As a facilitator, ThetaHealer and facilitator of transition processes, I have learned to listen to what is not immediately visible,
but it does influence how something flows.
That same sensitivity forms the basis of my work as a designer and artist: seeing possibilities – the harmony that wants to grow, the stories that want to be heard, the beauty that is already there.
That ability is evident in every form of my work:
in designing spaces that carry you,
in art that makes a place shine,
and in the systemic perspective that acts as an invisible thread
connects everything.
The name Aluna comes from the Kogi tradition and refers to the invisible, creative force – the bridge between the human and the greater whole of Mother Earth and the universe.
That is exactly what Atelier Aluna & Co aims to be: a foundation between the tangible and the invisible, between form and essence.
I'm not walking this path alone. Together with Tera Terpstra, AJ Damen, and many others from various disciplines, a force field of co-creation is emerging.
I believe that connection brings healing—between people, between generations, and between our inner world and the world around us. That is the foundation for work that truly makes a difference.
And of course, there's our cat Yumi – always curious and happy to help. A permanent fixture in the studio: playful, warm, and welcoming, just the way our work is meant to be.
