Art is an essential part of Alchemy of Living.
It gives form to what cannot always be put into words and brings a unique sense of connection into a space.
We create commissioned work, attuned to the person and the place for which it comes into being. Alongside this, there is autonomous work that always carries a deeper narrative and creates connection between people, place and time.

Ode to our Ancestors Series
The series Ode to Our Ancestors , made for the magazine Vrucht en Pit ,
explores what it means to inherit from our ancestors—not just money or possessions, but life itself.
Every person rests upon an invisible foundation of hundreds of lives, stories and circumstances.
That history doesn't stop in the past; it lives on in bodies, in relationships, in choices—in the now.
The works invite us not to see origins as something fixed, but as a living field of transmission.
What we wear wants to be seen.
What is seen can move.
And what moves can be passed on differently.
Root to Rise

A field of seven generations of ancestors makes visible the ground from which
a single life comes into being. From the earthly and intimate to the diffuse and cosmic — where lineage shifts from personal story to shared origin.
Inherited Future
Customisable
Across 255 planes, the scale of seven generations appears, of which only five are coloured.
Trees with their annual rings carry time through the generations, revealing how experience takes root and continues to grow. What we inherit proves not to be a past, but a living structure in the making.
Facets of Origin

Seven generations unfold here as a diamond pattern of singular forms.
From a distance, coherence appears; up close, each life remains unique.
What is cut as separate facets catches the light together — each time differently.
Held in Motion
Lineage appears here as a movement of ripples in water.
What is passed on — among it joy, play and vitality —
merges with new circumstances and takes on a new shape.
In this way, origin remains a field of continuous relationship.

A blueprint of life appears here as an underlying order.
Within a field of origin, form unfolds — from openness into structure.
What precedes remains present in what comes into being.

In Her Own Right
The work presents the liberation of the feminine not as a rupture, but as a shift in form —
from enclosed to spacious, from imposed to one’s own, from fragmented to coherent.
What was once confined appears here as movement and presence.
Freedom becomes not a moment, but a state of being.
Commissioned work · Wire Group
This piece was created for Wire Group as a reflection on connection — both visible and yet to emerge, with a grounded line of red stone forms representing the “wire” that carries what is already established. Around it, space is held for new connections to unfold — subtle, open, and not yet fixed. It speaks to the balance between what exists and what is becoming, where connection remains a living, evolving process.
